Stuart Duffin
Chair
Stuart’s interests and activities focus on policy leadership effectiveness in complex environments; leveraging knowledge for organisational effectiveness; and developing critical thinking organisations. He plays a major role in radical and distinctive practical community leadership with a focus on managerial and leadership performance, measurement and development, all within the anti-poverty and labour market NGO sector. Stuart is currently the Chief Executive of Relationships Glasgow and the Convenor of the Charity Law Sub-committee Law Society of Scotland.
Caoimhe Walsh
Trustee
Caoimhe is a Community Links Practitioner, based in a GP practice in the south of Glasgow. She graduated in 2022 with a Masters in Adult Education, Community Development and Youth Work. Her research focused on grassroots responses to food insecurity, particularly relating to The Scottish Pantry Network. Caoimhe is passionate about tackling health inequalities and promoting access to good food.
Brian Land
Trustee
Brian is an activist and campaigner who works with communities in the north of Glasgow. He is currently a Development Manager with Barmulloch Community Development Company.
Stephen McFadden
Trustee
Stephen McFadden is currently the Operations and Development Manager at Govan HELP, with over 30 years of experience in the third sector in a number of senior roles. He leads the ongoing development of the service, Steph has extensive previous experience of working in employability, homelessness and addiction.
Elsie Uwanaka
Trustee
Elsie is a member of the Poverty Truth Community, where she engages in discussions that prioritise the voices of those experiencing poverty.
Additionally, Elsie volunteers with the Central and West Integration Network (CWIN), supporting asylum seekers, refugees, and ethnic minorities in Glasgow to promote integration and community cohesion.
Furthermore, she is part of Sharpen Her, an organisation that empowers African women to achieve their educational, employment, and entrepreneurial goals. She is passionate about the education and empowerment of young women.
Elsie enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with her children and adorable grandchildren.
Marianna Kokou
Trustee
Marianna is a Lecturer in Innovation and Operations at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. She specialises in open innovation and value co-creation with end-users, with her PhD research exploring the impact of end-user participation in the development of new products. Her expertise spans social, sustainable, and digital innovation, and she is passionate about leveraging innovation to create meaningful social change. She has led inclusive educational programs, such as the KECEKAPAN learning programme for marginalised communities, funded by the British Council, and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Marianna is passionate about addressing systemic issues related to equality and inclusion and promoting equal opportunities for underserved communities. She is committed to supporting initiatives that provide essential resources and foster inclusive environments, aligning with the Courtyard Pantry Enterprise's mission to empower and uplift those in need
Paul Sweeney
Trustee
Paul is a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Glasgow Region, and previously served as the MP for Glasgow North East in the House of Commons from 2017 until 2019. With a professional background in the Clyde shipbuilding industry, Paul was involved in the restoration of the historic former Govan shipyard head offices into the Fairfield Heritage Centre, for which he won an award in 2014. After campaigning against the demolition of Springburn Public Halls in 2012, he founded the Springburn Winter Gardens Trust, which is working to restore the nearby glasshouse in Springburn Park.
